Wingate test is currently one of the most popular test that measures peak anaerobic power and anaerobic capacity.
Test is conducted on cyckling ergometer . Consists of a set time pedalling at maximum speed against a given resistance. Workload depending of the participant’s body mass. Test is preceded by 5 minutes warm-up at 50 watt after that the subject should rest for 5 minutes before performing the sprint test. The duration of the test is 30-sec.
Test run:
Test starts after the signal given from the test administrator . The participant should begin to accelerate maximally and try to maintain maximal speed throughout the entire 30-second test.
